We cater for 1/8 scale Buggy, Truggy both nitro and electric as well as 1/10 scale Buggy and Short Course Trucks and for drivers of all ages and experience levels . Most weekends if there is not racing or timed practice there is usually someone there driving for fun so even if you’ve never driven on an off-road RC race track before come down and have a go

Illawarra Remote Control (IRC) Off-road holds race meetings and timed practice days each month at the permanent Off-road Radio Controlled Car track located in the Croome Reserve Sporting Complex , Croome Road, Albion Park (just near the Southlake BMX club track). Our race and timed practice days are for both nitro and electric cars.

Timed Practice days are from 10 am – 4 pm , Canteen is open for pies, sausage rolls and cold drinks only
On a typical race day it starts with driver registration from about 8am racing starts approx 9am with the qualifying rounds and then the finals after lunch and the day finishes up 3-4 pm .The race meet typically includes 1/8 Nitro Buggy and 1/8 Nitro Truggy classes, 1/8 EP8 ( electric) and 1/10 Buggy and Short Course Trucks as numbers permit. There is also a canteen open on race days with coffee , tea, cold drinks ,bacon and egg rolls in the morning plus sausage rolls, pies ,and hotdogs all day and at lunch bbq steak and sausage sandwiches . Club Memberships prices for the 2018 period are as follows
Family package $120.00
Memberships are due at the beginning of each race year. Being a financial member you receive keys to the main chain, the driver stand gate and the track access gate. As well as reduced race fees and timed practice fees. Also you will be eligible for the club championship points and trophy awarded at the end of each year.
Timed Practice day fees – Club Member $5.00 , non Club Member $10.00
Race Day Fees – Club Member $20.00 , non Club Member $25.00

The track has an elevated drivers stand for up to 10 drivers and a pit area.
